WE ARE ALWAYS IMPROVING UPON PERFECTION!
Continuous improvement is second
nature to everyone in each one of our facilities. We strive to be
the best in every aspect of our business and in all we do. Our Process
Improvement program has generated hundreds of ideas from our work force
and helped to enhance our productivity and efficiency. We have also implemented the concepts of Lean/Six Sigma, which complement
and build on our successes with Process Improvement. This ongoing
quest for excellence inspired us to make dramatic physical changes
and enhancements to all of our shipyards. We have refurbished and remodeled shops, built new office buildings,
a fitness center, and built a state-of-the art training center, we have improved our dry dock, crane and pier capacity, built new restrooms, new eating areas, new parking lots and planted extensive landscaping. This unique shipyard setting provides our employees with excellent working conditions
and offers our customers the most desirable environment in which
to have their repair, modernization, conversion and overhaul work
carried out. We have truly revolutionized the way ship repair is
performed in this country!
